Scrambling in North Wales
We frequently run climbing and scrambling courses in North Wales which offers some of the most exciting and atmospheric scrambling in the UK, with classic ridges, rugged terrain, and big mountain days that bridge the gap between walking and climbing. Our scrambling courses are designed to help you move confidently and safely through this technical terrain while enjoying the stunning landscapes of Eryri (Snowdonia).
Whether you're new to scrambling, looking to tackle famous Grade 1 routes, or aiming to progress onto more exposed ridges, we’ll guide you through the skills needed for safe and enjoyable days in the mountains.
What to Expect
We’ll meet in the morning to discuss your goals and experience before heading to a suitable mountain venue. The day focuses on movement skills, route choice, and staying in control on steeper ground, all delivered in a supportive and encouraging environment.
You’ll experience classic North Wales terrain—exposed ridges, rocky steps, and hands‑on movement—with expert coaching throughout.
What You’ll Learn
Depending on your aims, we can cover:
-
Safe movement on steep and exposed terrain
-
Route finding and selecting the best line
-
Effective footwork and balance techniques
-

By the end of the day, you’ll feel more capable and confident navigating technical mountain ground independently.
